A Surprisingly Easy Way To Prevent Chicken Breast From Getting Tough

Written by Esther Rivers

How many times do you cook chicken in a week? It is the best low-fat meal, high in protein and absolutely delicious – IF we know how to cook it just right. To avoid letting boiled chicken get tough, you need to know this one amazing trick.

STEP 1:

Slice the chicken breast through the middle and lay it flat on the chopping board. Don’t just put the entire chicken breast into boiling water. There is a middle step that is of utmost importance!

STEP 2:

This is the step with the magic trick! Before cooking, add salt, pepper, and egg white as a layer of seasoning inside the open chicken breast. Once you’ve finished with seasoning the meat, close it up again. This will add all the flavor.

STEP 3:

Place the chicken gently into the boiling water on a simmer for a while.

STEP 4:

Turn off the stove and let the chicken sit for approximately 8 minutes. This process will stop the chicken from getting tough, and add more flavor and moisture. Hey presto! You may serve.
