Lets start this list with an astonishing face-to-face encounter with one of the most magnificent animals underwater. Swimming freely with whale sharks or diving in a cage surrounded by other not-so-harmless types of sharks is an exciting and enriching adventure that you’ll never forget.
Beqa Lagoon (Fiji), Guadalupe Island (Mexico), Tiger Beach (the Bahamas), Neptune Islands (Australia) are famous for shark diving, just to name a few of all the awesome places where you can adventure.
2. Sky diving
This sport is one of the best experiences you could ever have in your life. For those who do not like the sinking feeling of free fall, sky diving is great, since you’ll only feel a floating sensation, until (hopefully) the parachute opens.
3. Bungee jumping
One of the most common of adventure sports, yet a shot of adrenaline that usually takes place in beautiful landscapes around the world. From Victoria Falls, Zambia (364 ft) to Niouc, Switzerland (623 ft) there are tons of spots to try, and if you want to take it to the next level, there’s always the possibility to make the jump from a moving object, such as a hot air balloon or helicopter.
4. Cavern diving
Explore beautiful underwater environments with clear waters and captivating geological formations. Inside of a cavern, you’ll have a ceiling overhead, but an entrance and visible light from the sun are always in sight. Among some of the best locations to explore we can name the Mexican “Cenotes” at Yucatán, “The Great Blue Hole” at Belize’s Lighthouse Reef, the Chinhoyi caves at Zimbabwe or the Devil’s Eye, in Florida.
5. Kayaking Down The River Rapids
Kayaking down the river rapids or white waters, is incredibly exciting and dangerous too, which is why you need to have some skills before you get in there. Rivers and rapids are rated by difficulty and different types of paddling can be done in this sport.
6. Speed-Riding
Imagine launching from a slope with a wing overhead and your skis on, strong winds occasionally allowing you to take off for a few seconds. This sport will offer you the perfect balance between the snow and the sky. The Eiger, a 13,020 ft mountain in the Bernese Alps in Switzerland, is among the most extreme destinations for this and other adventure sports.
7. Para-Gliding
Gliding over amazing landscapes while comfortably sitting on a harness in a free flying, foot-launched aircraft is something that you cannot miss in this lifetime. It is possible almost anywhere in the world, although there are some amazing well-known sites as Dune Du Pyla, France or Olüdeniz Turkey.

Not a lot to explain here. Big waves can be found in Australia, Hawaii, California, Tahiti, Cape Town, just to name a few. Be prepared, some of these places offer not only deadly waves but shark filled waters.
10. Volcano Boarding
Yes, you can actually slide down an active volcano on a wood or metal board at Cerro Negro (Black Hill), just outside of Leon, Nicaragua. Wouldn’t you love to feel the rush of going down a steep slope over volcanic ash? A jumpsuit and a pair of goggles will protect you from the heat, fine volcanic rocks, and wind, but not from the adrenaline.
11. Cliff Jumping
Simple as it sounds diving from a cliff doesn’t require special equipment or clothing. Nonetheless, its essential for you to have a little knowledge on how to enter the water safely.
12. Kiteboarding
Pulled by the force of the wind, you’ll travel at great speed and jump off the waves at amazing heights. All around the globe you’ll find perfect spots to practice kite boarding, all you need is a big open body of water and a good launch area.
13. Sand Boarding
The name says it all, sand boarding takes place in desert and dune areas and is definitely something you need to try at least once. If you snowboard, it will come easy, and the great thing is, this sport can be practiced year round and in various places throughout the world.
14. High lining
If you have ever tried slack lining and thought it was good, you need to try this. High lining is a relatively new sport that consists on slack lining at high elevation. It it something you want to do with experienced people who know what they’re doing. You’ll need concentration, balance and strength, but above all, a huge deal of courage.
15. Wake boarding
Towed behind a motorboat, you’ll find yourself riding over the water strapped to a board at speeds of approx. 18-25 mph. Wake boarding has an amazing variety of maneuvers to be done, so you’ll always want more.
