Ignorance is very common with the general population these days. People try harder to impress those around them than to be happy with themselves. Having a supreme knowledge of the latest pop cultural fad or being able to rattle off the stats of a well know sports player back to their High School days is what the masses value.

When someone who is perceived to be a leader of sorts claims that something is cool or worth paying attention to, the masses accept it as gospel.

Many times, however, the cool factor is all in the presentation. Friends of the opera and symphony will pony up $100 or more to hear the melodies composed by greatest artists of all time.

They dress up in a nice suit and tie, don a new dress and jewelry and flaunt to their friends how they have the best seats at the prestigious opening performance.

What if you took away the allure of the evening?

What if you took one of the most talented violinists in the world and let him play for the general public?

No one would bat an eye. Even though, he played some of the most intricate pieces of music written. This actually happened.

People have lost their appreciation of art and true musical talent. If he had played a recording of the same music from the audio system of a parked 2015 Bentley Mulsanne, with his violin on the passenger seat, he would have recieved more attention for the expensive car.

The thing is, his performance violin is valued at somewhere in the neighborhood of 3.5 million dollars. He could buy roughly 11 and a half of the same car instead of the historic violin. What does that say to you?
