Though nobody is born with perfect looks, all it takes is a little bit of time and effort each day to look and feel your best. Mostly comprised of little changes that can be made in just a small amount of time, these are some simple alterations that you can make in order to feel great on the inside and boost your outward appearance at the same time. You will feel the results for a long time while reveling in your newfound confidence.
1. Hydrate
Not being hydrated is one of the biggest reasons that people look and feel worn out, and a continued loss of water throughout the day will steal your energy and add to an exhausted appearance. Drinking one large glass of water as soon as you wake up in the morning will boost your metabolism and begin the process of flushing toxins out of the body through the urine. Staying adequately hydrated will contribute to clearer skin and an overall feeling of being more energetic.
2. Basic Hygiene
Regular brushing and flossing will lend to a pretty smile. Each day remember to take a shower, change your clothing, clean your ears, file your nails, and brush your hair to make sure that your appearance is attractive. Completing a daily routine to include all of these things will have you feeling great on the inside while looking your best on the outside.
3. Practice Good Posture
How you carry yourself will influence how you are perceived by others. Refrain from slouching; straight posture exudes confidence and self-assurance which contribute to attractiveness. Double check that you are wearing the correct bra size as it can affect posture.
4. Sleeping Enough
Early signs of aging can be attributed to a lack of sleep. The body regenerates itself most when a person is sleeping. The less sleep, the less time the skin has to regenerate. Seven to eight hours of sleep a night is recommended for anyone to not only feel good, but look good the next day. Remember to sleep on your back to give yourself a mini-facelift while recharging.
5. Eating Healthy
Eat more nuts, whole grains, and fresh fruits and vegetables while cutting out those foods that are refined, processed, and artificial. It is not necessary to have a strict diet at all times, and occasional indulgences are totally okay. The “unnatural” foods are not conducive to clear skin or a fit physique.
6. Moving Your Body
Jogging, running, or walking briskly each day for ten minutes is the very least to be done for obtaining some health benefits. When exercising, the body works up the circulatory system, leading to a complexion that glows, and a more youthful appearance of hair and skin.
7. Covering Your Flaws
Similar to accentuating your best features, aim to conceal the features that you don’t love. If struggling with a double chin, a blouse with a dramatic neckline will draw the eyes away from the chin. If dark circles under your eyes are the problem, these are easily fixed with any number of cosmetics.
8. Know Your Best Features
Each woman has at least one unique thing that they love about themselves- their thick hair, almond eyes, hourglass figure, etc. The trick is to identify this feature and play it up so that attention is drawn to it.
9. Having Great Hair
There are many things that go into having great hair. The right hair products for your hair type, the frequency of washing (hint: only a few times a week is ideal, the natural oils provide shine and protection), and even the right haircut will all improve your outward appearance and likely make you feel great, too.
10. Remember to Smile
A genuine smile will brighten your appearance and will make you instantly more attractive and approachable. It will also give you a boost in your mood. A forced smile will make you seem awkward or unsure.
