Get free daily tips and inspiration on my Instagram drkirren and find me on YouTube for weekly videos on all things mental health. I'm an experienced Clinical Psychologist with over 18 years experience of working in mental health settings, including inpatient and outpatient clinical services. I undertook my clinical training at the prestigious University of Oxford. I am an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (AFBPsS), a title given as recognition of several years’ experience and contribution to the field of clinical psychology. I've had the privilege of working with both children and adults throughout my career, people from all walks of life…and do you know what they all had in common? Something we all have in common, pain and suffering, something common to all human beings. My expertise – my mission – centres on how to help others, providing and educating on mental health issues, giving people practical ways to create real change from within. I help people connect more fully with themselves and each other. I’ve empowered so many individuals to articulate and achieve their goals, engage more meaningfully with their own life, in a way that brings them the meaning that they are looking for. At the heart of it, I help equip people to face life's challenges. I help them unearth the things they want to do, the person they want to be, and support them to find the courage and means to make changes. In line with clinical psychology philosophy, I work by integrating science, psychological theory, and clinical skills/knowledge to my everyday practice of helping others.
