Great things come in small packages. Innovation has proven this throughout the ages thanks in no small part to enterprising visionaries like Steve Jobs. The iPhone, for example, was light-years ahead of its predecessors in terms of ergonomics and functionality. But, as this timeline shows us, it took 25 years to go from a 22-pound heavyweight like the Mobira Senator (the world’s first car phone) to a computer in your pocket. And if you thought $600 was a lot in 2007, at least you were not shelling out over $6,000 for what amounts to a glorified radio by today’s standards!
